Our small car fleet is perfect for the day trip with the family and are by far our most popular cars in the fleet.
In our small car range we have the following types of vehicles: Hyundai i30s, Ford Focus, Nissan Cubes (also a 7 seater), Mazda 3s and Mitsubishi Colts.
All of our cars are automatic and have air conditioning, perfect for exploring the Sunny Coast.
These vehicles are available in all of our locations.

Great for Cruise Passengers!! Recently visited Mooloolaba on the Viking Sky and rented a car from Sunny Coast Car rental.
Online reservation process was straightforward and simple, Tony promptly emailed pickup and drop off information, and the whole process worked very smoothly.

100% strongly recommend this family business. I can not speak highly enough of Tony. I hired a car for a week so that my parents could enjoy their Sunshine Coast holiday.
Unfortunately my mum broke her ankle on their last night requiring a longer stay and reshuffling all their plans. Tony was beyond helpful in recommending local places and doctors to help, and graciously extended their car hire.
He regularly checked in via text and on the day my parents needed to fly back home, Tony went and met them at their accommodation to drive the hire car for them to the airport and take care of car return at a stressful time. He went next level and assisted them to get through check in and even followed up with a text the next day. I actually don’t know what they would have done without him!! This is service that you simply do not get with a bigger company.

Great value, easy to book and convenient. We were struck by bad weather on our annual trip to the Sunny Coast this year so made a last-minute decision to hire a car for some flexibility on those rainy days. We couldn’t have found Sunny Coast Car Hire any easier to deal with and so cost effective.
We didn’t need or want a flash new car that costs a fortune, we just needed a little car to get about locally. We hired a Mitsubishi Colt that we picked up from the multi-level care park in Mooloolaba, such a convenient location as we were staying only a two-minute walk away.
We hired it for 5 days and glad we did, car was clean and well presented for what we paid and of course had the all-important air con. We will be using this company again and I would strongly recommend you using them.

Do you have an office?
No, we are a 100% online company so we can keep our hire rates low and provide a quick and easy booking solution rather than lengthy queues at check-in counters.
Is there an actual person I can talk to?
Yes, the business is owned by a local family, call Tony on 0421 380 380 and he’ll be happy to help you out.
How do I get the car then?
You book online and pay, the hire agreement is sent to you, you sign it on your phone – tablet – computer and then you are sent a code for the lock box attached to the car with the keys in it. Unlock and drive away, it’s that simple.
Do you hire baby seats?
We use the professional services of Hire Choice. Not only do they come and install the car seat in your hire vehicle before you arrive, they also hire a wide range of items for your next holiday. Call them on 0419793935 or visit their website here.
Is there a bond?
We put a $300.00 pre-authorisation against your nominated credit card that is removed upon the car returned clean, full of fuel and in the same condition as you took it.
Is the car insured?
Yes, there is a $5/day charge. This covers you for all damage, the excess is $2000.00. For $15/day you can reduce the excess to $0.
Can I reduce the excess?
Yes you can reduce the excess to $0 for $15/day.
Is there a km limit per day?
There is 100km per day allowed, this accumulates of the hire period. Our hire agreements have a maximum of 100km radius from pickup location written into them. This can be extended with our written permission. Please contact us with your travel details.
Can I drop the car at the Sunshine Coast Airport?
Yes, for an $45 surcharge. Please contact us for more information.
Can I have pets in the car?
No, sorry. As a curtesy to fellow users of our cars we do not allow pets.
